Week Two, Tea Party Express IV
I’ve met Sarah Palin, I’ve met Newt Gingrich, I’ve met Sheriff Joe, I’ve met Pat Boone as well as Andrew Breitbart. I even opened an event and performed just before Governor Rick Perry spoke in Waco. That was only the first seven days! Coming from where I come from, it still amazes me that I am in the company of such well known people. God is working in my life in ways that seem unreal.
I committed myself to learning true American history after meeting the Waco Tea Party Watchdogs in 2009. As we go into the second half of this tour, I’m re-energized with gratefulness for Tea Partiers like those that woke me up in Waco. With the new Tea Party Review Magazine as well as the awesome new media in Tea Party HD, I see the America that I read about in founding era documents, re-emerging through the grass roots Tea Parties and the Tea Party Express that works to thread us all together. We are communicating with each other, we’re learning from each other and we are pounding our way into our nations leadership.
I’m sitting here next to Lloyd Marcus on our way to Nashville, TN. With all of our conversations I have been thinking of what’s to come after 2012. Many say that our fire and momentum will diminish, leaving us with victory and burnt out supporters. While the victory part sounds amazing to me, I can’t allow myself to believe that it will all come to an end after 2012. I said not on my watch when the Waco Tea Party found me in 2009 and I will say it again today as well as tomorrow when I hear predictions of the “It will all end” nature.
I WILL be a part of piercing into public education! I WILL be a part of citizen led economic development and job creation! I WILL be a part of continuing the Tea Party movement, monitoring and holding accountable, our elected officials of BOTH political parties! I read the Declaration Of Independence and it inspired me to dedicate my life to restoring the greatness of our country and I will not stop nor tire because we won a couple races. Remember, today AND tomorrow we are only one generation away from loosing our Freedom. Stay the course!
