Growing up in Waco, Texas it wasn’t hard for me to get into a lot of small town trouble. After surviving my teenage years, my short life of crime culminated in Fort Worth, Texas when I was sentenced to three years in prison for breaking into a neighbor’s house. With three years to think about my life and where it was going, I had plenty of time to decide that my life would mean something.
On January 24, 2007, I re-entered society on a mission to live a productive life. After finding Christ, I was married in 2007 and became the father of a beautiful daughter in the spring of 2008. With the inspiration and encouragement of my wife and new found family, I started my own business and began the up and down roller coaster ride of trying to be successful.
I met the Waco Tea Party in the summer of 2009. As a youth minister and small business owner, I was attracted to their shouts of limited government and fiscal responsibility. As I conversed with the different people in the Waco TEA Party, I started to realize how my musical talents could be used for more than just ministry. I wrote a song called freedom that I structured to address the different issues of the TEA party movement. When the Waco TEA Party allowed me to perform my song for the TEA Party Express, a new season in life began. Six months after that I was traveling across the United States with the TEA Party Express sharing my story with the nation.
Today, I’m well on my way to becoming a national artist. With gigs from California to Florida, it’s safe to say that Polatik is known from coast to coast. But name recognition is far from my ultimate goal. I want every aspect of my life to serve as an example to future generations. I’m using my talents, my time, my resources and my finances to create or support the solutions we need as a nation. As President of the Board for Right Track Ministries, engaging in education and community development are two of my main focuses at this time. Finally, my favorite sentence in all the writings of the founders is the final sentence from the declaration of independence. “And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our lives, our fortunes and our sacred honor.” This sentence truly speaks on how I feel today in taking this government back.
